An Inside Look at Our New Space

Things are coming together at the new home of Mothers’ Milk Bank of North Texas. The lab is up and running, and administrative staff are settling into their new offices. We’re excited to share a few of the highlights of our new building!

Lobby

Our new lobby welcomes all visitors to the milk bank. While our previous home had a small, simple space with a front desk and a few chairs, this lobby can comfortably hold all our guests and better serve those who come through our doors. This beautiful space has a seating area, a table and chairs for donors and recipients to complete paperwork, and a children’s area for any older siblings tagging along. Additionally, it will soon display artwork and Carmen’s Tree, our memorial for the babies of bereaved milk donors.

Administrative Wing

Our administrative staff loves their new space on the east side of the building. In addition to ample office and storage space, it’s also home to a conference room and the Junior League of Fort Worth Community Room. It has been years since MMBNT has had a conference room, as the previous room was converted for milk processing at our Magnolia Avenue location. The community room is a new space as well. Dedicated to the Junior League of Fort Worth, one of our generous supporters, this room will be home base for volunteer projects, school groups, educational sessions and events.

Milk Processing Wing

The state-of-the-art milk processing wing boasts incredible features and upgrades that we are thrilled to implement in our operations. The new lab is three times the size of the lab on Magnolia Avenue, providing the space we need for thawing, mixing, testing and pasteurization. Just outside the lab, you will find a large walk-in freezer, divided down the middle and spacious enough to hold our entire inventory, with raw milk on one side and pasteurized milk on the other.
