Laura Davis’ Thoughts on Motherhood, Breastfeeding & Life

Laura Davis has worked at the Mothers’ Milk Bank of North Texas for more than nine years. She’s our Business Administrator extraordinaire, and a mother and grandmother.  We appreciate her willingness to always help us get the job done and celebrate her curiosity and love of life.

Here are Laura’s answers to our ‘finish this thought’ series of blog posts:

I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

I wonder where is the Internet?

I think breastfeeding provides bonding time and is the best start you can give your baby.

I hear the sounds of nature every day.

I see myself making a difference in this world.

I want to come to work every day.

I am a child of the King.

I pretend that I am a Queen.

I feel happy to be alive.

I wonder why mothers are not regarded as the most important people in the world.

I enjoy sewing and creating things.

I worry about not having enough time to do everything I want.

I cry when I am sad.

I am a good friend.

I understand when a friend hurts.

I say yes I can.

I dream of the day when there will be no more pain, nor crying, nor death.

I try to do my best every day and to make a difference.

I hope that I can spare someone the pain of loss.

I think babies are the best thing God makes.
