Who Donates the Milk? Our awesome donor moms, of course!

Simone Summerlin
Donor Mom Coordinator

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again; Mother’s Milk Bank of North Texas loves our donor moms! They are incredible and touch us daily with their compassion. Thanks to generous donor moms like Brittani Goodson and Modupe Apetuje-Ajiboye, Mothers’ Milk Bank of North Texas distributed 414,618 ounces of “liquid gold” last year; just think of all the sweet little ones who received that precious gift.

It is the kindheartedness of our donors that inspired the second installment in our video series- Who Donates the Milk? Warm feelings of knowing their milk was irreplaceable and viGoodson-40tal to help a baby survive and thrive were just the beginning for Goodson and Apetuje-Ajiboye. Giving to a non-profit milk bank such as Mothers’ Milk Bank of North Texas ensured that their donation would help the babies who need it most. An added bonus: the donation process is easy and most healthy, breastfeeding women are eligible.

These families have incredible stories that deserve to be shared, in hopes that we increase awareness of the benefits of breastfeeding, donating and receiving human milk.
